Dream 022 – a stroll, a storm, child swap

I had a dream on Wednesday night, but unfortunately I didn’t have the time to post until now. I should make it clear that my real dad is not the dad in this dream. Furthermore, I don’t have a younger brother, so clearly I am not the person who I am dreaming to be.

*start of dream*

I am a child. I am walking along the sidewalk holding the hands of two men. I realize that I am the child of a single father. The man on my right is my dad and he is also holding the hand of my younger brother on his right.

The man on the left is my dad’s friend, who is also a single father. He is holding his daughter’s hand in his left hand. I know she is my best friend.

The five of us are enjoying our stroll when a storm kicks up. We take cover in a barn or shed. The wind is blowing extremely hard when debris appears in the sky. Five children start falling from the sky and luckily the five of us manage to catch them all.

These children are all babies or toddlers. We know we must take care of them. I am the oldest child there, so I do my best to help out. I become a pro holding the babies and rocking them for comfort.

My dad announces that he can no longer care for the children. He has to live in the city for my benefit (no further detail was provided.) His friend knows that he should do the same for his daughter’s benefit, but he cannot bring himself to part with the children. They cannot come to the city with us. So the two dads decide to swap kids. My brother goes to live with the other man who will raise my brother and the fallen kids, while my best friend comes to live with me and my dad in the city.

*end of dream*
